I recently bought a new laptop that has Windows Vista. I have a wireless router. I want to transfer some files from my old laptop (also on the wireless router, running XP). I got the network set up on my old laptop and shared some folders. On the new one with Vista, when I copy files, the transferring takes a long time. For instance, I copied 2gbs of mp3's and when I tried to paste them into Vista it took about 5 hours. Also, what happens some times, is I select some files on Vista and when I try to copy the files it won't even let me do it, and the program freezes and is Not Responding. I heard the Vista Service Pack 1 might help, is this true? Any help is appreciated! -- upper9017 Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
