How do I enable it for ONLY wired LAN
but disable it for ALL wireless networks?

It seems I can only have it one way or the other.. not both separately

thanks very much

Hi
Network discovery is for detecting the Devices that are on the Network .
From a point of view of the Network there is No difference whether the
device id using Wireless or Wire.
If you would explain what functionally is on you mind, may be a better
answer can be found,
Jack (MVP-Networking).

Hey jack, Sorry, What I am trying to work out here is that sometimes I
use a wireless connection, and other times a wired, and both connections
are available in the same place (my house).

I want to be visible ONLY on the wired connection but not on the
wireless. when i select network discovery ON for LAN i can see my
networks other computers, however I can also see the wireless networks
computer (and they can see me) and this is not what I want.

Hi
To avoid the Wireless showing up in the network you have to Disable the
Wireless Card.
Drag a Link to the Wireless Connection Icon from the Control Panel/Network
Connection to the Desktop.
Right Click on the icon and choose Disable. Right Click and choose Enable
when needed.
Otherwise, if you just want to choose priority you can do this,
