Default Trying to create an access point. Please help!

Hello,
I've been trying to get this thing to work for months now. I gave up
finally but decided to give it another shot.

I purchased what my computer recognizes as "Atheros AR5007UG Wireless
Network Adapter" (I'm using Windows Vista). This little booger is
supposed to simply let me plug it in into my USB port, install
everything, thus creating a wireless access point (so I could connect
to my home internet through my Nintendo DS, Wii, etc.) - this is what
it was advertised to do, as it's similar to the Nintendo Wi-FI USB
connector.

I'm unsure of what i'm doing wrong. I have the most updated driver
installed, but now what? I just want to set this thing up to where it
will create an access point in my home.

Any help would be *fantastic* and I thank you advance. This has been so
frustrating and i'm hoping I can figure out what to do here. Thanks!

You don't say how you have your home internet set up.

For your wireless adaptor to work, you have to already have a Network set up
with a Wireless Router.

No, the adapter I have is made for the sole purpose of not requiring a
router. It uses your existing broadband connection to establish a
wireless signal so that you can use it to get online with your Nintendo
DS, PSP, etc.

The link above takes you to what I bought (not from that website, but
the same product, basically).

Any help would be awesome. I can't figure out whats wrong with this
thing.
