Hello,
I am trying to decide which version of Vista is right for our family. I do use Remote Desktop Connection to connect from home to work using Windows XP. Will this be available in Windows Vista Home Premium, which is the version I would like to get? Thanks, Brandon |

Sorry -
According to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...s/default.mspx, Remote Desktop is only available for the Business and Ultimate Editions. I think that is only the server/host function much like it is today, ie. XP
Pro/MCE can act as a Remote Desktop host, while XP Home can only act as a Remote Desktop client. That's what I was thinking...Microsoft doesn't make this very clear. I would
think they would have client capabilities in all versions, but does anyone know for sure? If remote desktop doesn't work, try going to www.logmein.com
Not sure if it works with Vista yet, I haven't got around to testing, but their free service is excellent. "ba" wrote in message ... I was reminded by another person on another forum that there is a Beta RDP
6.0 client undergoing testing. Ok, so Remote Desktop Connection will be in Home Premium? I want to be able
to connect to other computers from my Vista machine and connect to my Vista machine over the internet. I am not sure what the release of RDC 6.0 means to this Vista edition.
