Default Router Issue with Remote Desktop Client Vista Home Premium

I currently Remote Desktop into my office computer. I've done this for the
past year no issues. I use port 3391, my office computer is Vista Business
SP1, and my home computers were both XP - one pro and one home. I just
replaced my laptop that had XP home with a new laptop that has Vista Home
Premium. The RDC will not connect on my home network. I've tried some
public networks with no issues using RDC so I know it does work. I have a 2
wire 2700HG-E Gateway router. If I disable the firewall in it my Vista Home
Premium RDC has no issues connecting. As I mentioned before my XP Pro
machine has no issues connecting through the same router at any time. This
issue was present both pre and post SP1 on the new laptop. Any ideas or
suggestions?

I would look to see if there are any firmware updates for the home 2Wire
router and/or do a factory default reset to see if that fixes the issue to
start with. Have you tried a different port, ie. the default TCP Port 3389
for example?

I've tried these things and no luck and no firmware updates. I'm going to
contact the router company and see what they say. Your response was helpful
in that there are no glaring obvious things I've been missing.
