Default Microsoft vpn and release version of vista

Hi,
I have something weird happening, I am able to connect to our windows 2003
server(well it says i am connected and i loged in with my credentials) but
after that is connected I lose the ability to go to any websites and the
network and sharing center shows a red x between the network and internet. If
I diconnect the vpn connection the red x and i can browse the internet. I
tried the diagnostic stuff and only thing it tell me to disconnect my cables
and reconnect but that is not the problem.

You could try this:

Go into the properties of the VPN connection and choose "Networking" and go
into the properties of both "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and
"Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and go into "Advanced" and remove
the tick from the "Use default gateway on remote network"

If this does not work you could try removing the tick from the "Internet
Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) under "Networking" in the properties.

Let us know how it goes.
