I´ve got a desktop with Vista Ultimate [PC], and a laptop with Vista Home
Premium [NOTE] and both have been updated to SP1. I have shares in both pcs and a printer in the PC. Both have file and printer sharing enabled in firewall, the connection was working fine before SP1. Password sharing is disabled in both. I can view shares in NOTE form PC ok. I can see the PC from Network icon on NOTE, but when i try to open PC, i get a username and password logon screen. No matter what user/pass i use i get a Logon Failure error. I can access remote desktop, http server (on custom port 81) But no sharing or printer. Thanks in Advance |

No, its not on a domain.
The user/pass is the same on both computers. I think i´ve found the problem, aparently the vmware workstation installed in NOTE caused a problem in the netbios lookup, and was responding to ping on PC with it´s ip. I´ve changed the IP on the vmware virtual adapter and the name resolution appears to work now. I'll post any new problems. Thanks Alexandre "Robert L.
