If you can do the net use but not browser, it could be the computer browser
issue. What's the system error, if you use net view command? For example, net view \\remotepcipaddress first and then net view \\remotepchostname. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "jack99" wrote in message ... Jack, thank you for your interest. I did what you suggested and it changed
the problem. This time it went down a black hole; as viewed on the Lap Top it appeared to print but nothing was seen on the old PC. Robert, thank you. All the Net View commands worked without error. In each
case they listed the target machine's shares and when it was by name the user machines name for those resources was also listed. "Robert L. Thank you for the suggestion. I have checked all the points in your posting
and eliminated all except my router which I have no means of bypassing. "Robert L. (MS-MVP)" wrote: If you can net view without problem, you may want to try LLTD. This post may help.
