I recently bought a new computer for my son and he loaded it before I could
get on and establish myself as the administrator. Now I would like to
install some software that will control/limit his access and fear that he
will be able to delete it. How can I modify the system to enable myself as
the administrator for this computer?

You could give the admin account he created a strong password and then
create a standard user account for him.
Control Panel (classic view)/User accounts/Manage another
account/create new account. Follow instructions.

Hope this helps.
Gary

Hi Denny,

In addition to Gary's post, the Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, and
Ultimate editions come with the Parental Control feature that can also
help control/limit his access. This tutorial will show you how to setup
and use it if you are interested.

Hope this helps,
