I'm using Vista Home Basic and recently downloaded SP1. My multifunction is
an HP K80, which worked well enough until the SP1 download. At that point, the K80 was no longer able to print from content online, from Paint and Word docs. I have a Dell 531S with 2 GB RAM and 250 GB HD. Dell tech support suggested uninstalling SP1, stating they've had several incidents of this type. The uninstall was successful but I was still unable to print. A Factory Image Restore was successful and, after reinstalling the HP software, was again able to print as needed. I posted this information on Dell's forums and now on MS community forums since Dell considers this a growing problem. Everyone who uses an older printer/multifunction should be aware this problem might arise after the installation of Vista Service Pack 1. -- arnmh1 |

Did you try to reinstall the HP software - after applying SP1, that is.
