Default Backup Selected Files Only?

Is there a means to backup only selected files on Vista similar to Windows
Backup in WinXP?

Jeff, thank you for not belaboring it :-)

I can't make any statements about future plans. But as you can imagine we've
gotten a lot of feedback on this. So, you can bet it's on our radar.

Default Backup Selected Files Only?

Jill,

Thanks for responding. I've resorted to a file backup of "documents" even
those this really backs up a whole lot of stuff I don't really need backed
up. Luckily it looks like this "tool" uses a differential backup so the
backup time is very acceptable.

How do I tell the tool to backup my SQL .bak files and vpc .vmc and .vhd
files?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

vhd is "compressed files"
vmc is "additional files"

bak is excluded, but you can add them to a .zip file and use the Compressed
Files choice.

I've passed your feedback along to the team.

Another quick question. Can the "Complete PC Backup" be scheduled or just
the "Back Up Files"?

Yes, it can be scheduled using wbadmin.exe and Task Scheduler. I'm working
on a blog post on how to do this, but it's pretty easy to figure out on your
own so give it a try :-)
