Question
I seem to have a problem. For 3 years I've been running Windows Media Encoder 9 as an audio stream (pull) on my XP laptop. The laptop is dying so I picked up a Vista Home Premium desktop, a Gateway GM5664. I installed WME 9 on the machine, no problem. It runs fine, only neither myself nor anyone else can access the stream. I have tried testing with Windows Firewall shut off and Norton Internet Security shutoff (rebooting with them down) and I still could not access the stream. Is there something else blocking access, some incompatibilty with WME9 and Vista? (even though WME appears to run ok...it doesn't crash or kick errors into the log) I'd sure like to find out what's causing this and what the solution might be. The stream is located via: mms://vengers.no-ip.org Thanks! |
