Default Default Printer Issue - Again!

As has been raised a number of times on this group, I'm having an issue with
retaining the default printer setting.
We are running our initial 12 machine deployment of Vista Enterprise with
SP1 installed, along with 1 Vista Ultimate with SP1. All users, including
administrators, have the same issue, which is that after a reboot, the
previously selected default printer has not been retained and has reverted to
one of the local printers. In the case of clean builds this is one of XPS or
Fax, but we do have machines with specialised label printers attached and
this will become the default - as such the previously described solution of
removing local printers is not a suitable workaround.

This is clearly a bug in Vista's handling of print defaults for users and
needs to be looked at asap, as it quickly becomes a source of irritation to
users and hence I.T. (ie ME)
