Vista 64bit and ASUS A8V sound drivers
I also have the ASUS A8V Delux board. Vista Beta 2 64 installed on a seprate
harddrive. xpp 64 on the other. Beta 2 gets along fine on this machine, when I insatlled Vista RC 1 did all the trouble start as in this post. I tried to install ASUS's 64 updates for the sound and the network but nothing worked. the fix: Format and reinstall Beta 2 again and all is fine now. Take care, Al. I'm wondering if anyone has had any success at this or whether I'm doing something wrong. The driver install program all go through fine but once I reboot to complete the install it still doesn't acknowledge the sound device.
