when I start my laptop up it will not connect automatically to wireless
internet in my home, I have to right click on icon, opt for diagnose and repair, it then tells me to turn wireless capability on. I opt for it to do that and then it connects. My wireless button on side of laptop is in "on" postion. Tried to find through help etc the wireless capability option but cannot. Any of you good people out there know what I am doing wrong. Many thanks Terry |

Hi tel262, When you first connect to the wireless network and once you get connected check both the checkboxs that states Connect Automaticaly and Save this connection. Then it wont ask you to connect again it will connect automaticaly nothing to do. Also you need to enable your wirless connection adoptor. This is done by a Function key or a switch on your laptop. It depend from laptop to laptop brand. u have not mentioned your brand here so Cant help u on that mate. Hope this helps Cheers !! -- john_cena -Shihan Sylvester Pietersz- -(MCP,MCSA,MCSE+Security,MCSE+Messeging- -MCTS,MCITP)- -Systems -::-Engineer / Consultant Trainer- :: |

I've tried this over and over and it doesn't work. This problem just started after I took my laptop to Starbucks and logged in there. When I came back home I had to manually connect to my network. I checked those two boxes, but now every time I start my laptop, I have to manually connect to my wireless network. Can someone help me? -- jesmarie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jesmarie's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/97635.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...ork/969966.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
