WD 2500JB External USB Hard Drive

For some reason this doesn't appear as a Removable Drive, but instead as a
real drive.

So you cannot eject it safely.

All USB Hard Drives should be removable.

Probably something with your motherboard or the external
drive case hardware. I don't have any problems with my
external USB drive.
