I am unable to configure a MAPI profile to connect to an exchange 2003 server
via RPC over HTTPS connection in Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista Ultimate (MSDN final version). Oddly enough on Vista with Outlook 2007 I can connect to the only exchange server via PRC over HTTPs at one company's Exchange Organization but I cannot connect to any exchange server on another company's network that has 2 exchange 2003 servers in their Exchange Organization. In Outlook it just keeps asking me to loggin. Everything works under Outlook 2003/2007 running on Windows XP Pro SP2. Is there a problem on the client or with servers at the other exchange organization? |

Sonny,
We have Vista Outloo7 2007, connecting RPC over Http working with no problems. An you have it working with at least 1 Exchange server. So the servers that don't work must have something different in the RPC Proxy install, or maybe the Firewall has issues. I found the following link helpful http://www.petri.co.il/configure_rpc...gle_server.htm I believe he has another link for multiple servers. I would have never gotten ours to work without this help. Good luck. DB, I was able to get it to work on Vista by 1st installing Outlook 2003 and
configuring the MAPI profile. Then I upgraded to Outlook 2007 and it worked. A co-worker was able to get it working by typing in the IP address of the proxy server instead of the DNS host name. Looks like some sort of registry & DNS resolution type of problem. "DB" wrote: Sonny, We have Vista Outloo7 2007, connecting RPC over Http working with no problems.
