More info required!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 If you have a new laptop, most now have a physical switch that you have to turn on! 2, If you have a router, log into it and enable the wireless after setting network up! You expect people to guess what you have!!!!!!! -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "lukeneal26" wrote: i am a first time wireless user and it says that wireless is off how do i turn it on? -- lukeneal26 |

Hi
In order to start the wireless card laptops either have a specific physical switch, or a combination of key to press (like Fn- F6). Usually the manual would mention it in the Wireless section. If you do not have a manual use Live Search and enter a term like "Switch on Wireless on Computer Model xxxxc". Wireless in general, http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.html Jack (MVP-Networking). I have a Thinkpad T61, and Fn - F5 is my key combination ... but it
did take me a long long time to figure that one out. Just as Jack said, if you have a manual the front of it should show photos of
where all the buttons, connection ports, and wireless buttons are located on your machine. Your computer may have wireless capabilities, but you will need a wireless router to connect wirelessly to the internet. Usually, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will help you set things up and get you connected. If you need further info or specifics on how to do something please let us know and we will be happy to help. Also, let us know if any of the info provided has solved your problem.
