I am using Vista Home Premium on a Lenovo laptop (Thinkpad Z60m). After
updating I have not been able to shut down the laptop normally. It continues to show the screen with "Windows is shutting down" - after 5 - 10 min it is turned into a blue screen and restarts telling me, that Windows was not closed in a normal way and giving me the option whether to start normally or in several safe modes. If I start in safe mode, or safe mode with networking, the shut down procedure is working normally. - I have scanned for vira and spy-ware with no result. I have a few office programs, expression web, Adonis Back Up, no games and not added any new items recently. I have read the various postings on this site, and search on Microsofts too - but without finding any help. - I hope for an advice or suggestion - and find consolation in the fact, that the start up procedure is still OK. |

Probably one or more of the Lenovo drivers and/or Thinkpad-specific programs isn't playing nicely with SP1. Look on Lenovo's tech support site to see if this is addressed or call them.
