Default Programs randomly uninstall very often.

I have Vista Business x64 SP1. I'm having a problem where programs will
suddenly be gone from my system. I used to think this only happened
when booting up, but I have noticed that the programs can disappear even
when Vista's been running for a while.

Here are some of the programs that disappear:
SQL Server Management Studio, Java, Logitech SetPoint x64, Firefox,
SQLNCLI, Lexmark printer drivers, Visual SVN (A Visual Studio 2008
plugin). The weird thing is, not all of the program's files will be
gone. For instance, the folders will still be there and some of the
files will be too, but some of the files necessary for the program to
run will be gone.

Some times, but not all, when I boot my computer the ethernet port will
not work. If I plug the cable into my other ethernet port, I will get
internet, but not through the first one. If I reboot the system, I'll
get a connection through the port. If I try to Disable and re-enable
the port, windows will run up one of the processors and the system will
be unresponsive for a while. After 5-10 minutes, it will finish, but it
is then not possible to re-enable the port.

I've had a problem with SetPoint disappearing before SP1, but only
noticed the other programs disappearing recently.

This is very annoying having to reinstall so many programs once a day or
at least once every couple days. Any ideas as to what could be causing
this problem?

Either someone's messing with your PC or if you have mirror raid the raid
controller is crapping out

No one is messing with my PC, because this will happen while I'm in the
middle of doing something else. I also do not have a mirror raid in
this computer, so it's not the raid controller.

I have tried disabling the logitech bluetooth stack and am going to see
if that makes a difference. If nothing else, I'll just end up doing a
clean install of Vista and see if it fixes it.

This software has disappeared literally 5 times within the last 24
hours. It makes no sense at all.

I know I haven't. It would appear that no one has or you would have
received a reply that would give you a fix

Only in relation to a corrupt raid mirror
