I have network drives mapped to which I no longer have access (from previous
work engagements). When I try to use the menu path Windows Explorer Tools Disconnect network drive, I get this error message: "X: connected to []: could not be disconnected because an error has occurred: This network connection does not exist." I tried the command "use X: /delete", but that did not work as I received a similar error that the drive could not be found. I've searched for this error and found quite a few reports on various forums, but I've not found one that had an answer. Your guidance is much appreciated. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. I have the same issue. the server which has been decommisioned, is no longer available. I have a R: drive showing disconnected network drive. The fix? Map to a working network share using the same drive letter that you cannot disconnect from. then after it is mapped, then right click it and delete it. ![]() -- Hacksaw1340 |
