Default Cannot disconnect network drive

I have network drives mapped to which I no longer have access (from previous
work engagements).

When I try to use the menu path Windows Explorer Tools Disconnect
network drive, I get this error message:

"X: connected to []: could not be disconnected because an error has
occurred: This network connection does not exist."

I tried the command "use X: /delete", but that did not work as I received a
similar error that the drive could not be found.

I've searched for this error and found quite a few reports on various
forums, but I've not found one that had an answer. Your guidance is much
appreciated.

Default Cannot disconnect network drive

Hi
Try the GUI, in the Control Panel/Network Center pull down the Tools menu
and choose the Disconnect Network Drive.

Default Cannot disconnect network drive

I have the same issue. the server which has been decommisioned, is no
longer available.

I have a R: drive showing disconnected network drive.

The fix? Map to a working network share using the same drive letter
that you cannot disconnect from. then after it is mapped, then right
click it and delete it.
