You may want to modify the MTU. Or this search result may help.
Vista Slow Issues Please refer to this post: Vista slow because of MTU. Disable the Windows Explorer Navigation Pane. To do that, Click Start, and then click Computer. ... www.chicagotech.net/vista/vistaslow.htm -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "Michael E" wrote in message ... Thanks BoB, I'm no computer wiz, can I screw anything up with these changes?
I see there are a host of wireless issues and mod's. When I posted I was referring to my verizon statistics, which were like 2-6kbps transmit, 0-6kbps receive, with spikes to 20,40,60 but normally the preceding values. Do I need someone with more puter savvy to do this? Thanks again! -- Mike "Robert L. (MS-MVP)" wrote: You may want to modify the MTU. Or this search result may help. Just an update... I'm saving the MTU cmd.for last, I unchecked the QoS
scheduler, and ran verizon tcp/mtu optimizer and I am now up to 59kbps up and 459 down, light years from my previous stats, but my MTU still shows autodetect. I think there's more left. Thanks for the link's BoB. -- Mike "Michael E" wrote: Thanks BoB, I'm no computer wiz, can I screw anything up with these changes? I see there are a host of wireless issues and mod's.
