my boot startup very slow and i get the below error (event id 100). i
am using windows vista home premium service pack 1.

Are you mapping a Network drive at start-up? If so stop that.

Grab the free Utility

Autoruns.exe (Google to find it).

Disable everything you don't need at start-up and see what makes it faster.

Is your AV set to do a scan at start-up, if so disable that start-up scan
