I have a Sony DCR DVD108 camera. WMM does not recognize the camera. I have
my video files saved on my computer - they are in an MPEG-2 format but the file extension is .mpg. When I try to import the files into moviemaker, I get an error message: "C:\Documents and Setting...\2008021318064.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from". Does anyone know what this means and how I can get around it? Is there a way I convert my MPEG-2 files to a format that is compatible with Movie Maker? Thanks for all hints, help and suggestions! |

You might want to give Free Video Converter a try. You might be able to
convert it to AVI format. You can find the program at www.koyotesoft.com . I have found it to be the best converter around. "Michele" wrote in message ... I have a Sony DCR DVD108 camera. If you rename the file to .mp2 does it then import properly... ? Do you randomly have a bunch of third party codecs on the system? -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. -- "Michele" wrote in message ... We imported our movies via "Picture Motion Browser", a program that came with
the recorder. We had to go back to each movie, right click, and select "convert to WMV and save". This made the videos useable in Movie Maker. It might be a faster fix for you...
