Default Backup and restore centre has stopped working

I have been successfully backing up from Vista for nearly a year but recently
the backup and restore centre has failed so that the "back-up files" options
are no longer even available when the backup and restore centre is opened.
The automatic backup operation tries to run each day but returns a "class not
registered 0x80040154 error". Any ideas for resolution thankfully received.

NTI is giving away their excellent 'Shadow' software for a limited time. You may find that it will do what you need.
