Default Vista will not boot

I am running Vista SP1. Yesterday I uninstalled the Netgear SC101
Management Software and was prompted to "restart the computer". Vista
starts but will not fully boot, it continually re-starts shortly
after
loading the "Microsoft" slider.

When I start in Safe Mode, Vista shows the last driver loading as
"crcdisk" before it then re-starts?

Help! What's the safest and quickest way of getting my system back
(please not a rebuild and restore from backup).

Will a boot to a "last known good" work? If I try this and it doesnt
work, will I have closed down some other recovery options I could have
tried?

Thanks
