Hi,
I have vista ultimate and ever since I updated my broadcom driver (ndis 6.0) via windows update at one point i have this strange delay of about 10 seconds after i login and every startup program loads. then and only then does the network connection come up. I even changed from DHCP to static IP thinking its a dhcp problem but it isn't the RED X on the network connection icon on the task bar remains until everything finishes loading.... why is this happening? can I have the network driver load first even before user logon? (if i dont login to fast after reset and boot and leave the pc for 20 more seconds then the network does come up at the backround but I usually don't like to wait with no reason..) thanks fot any help. Hi,
the only errors I found in the even viewer after boot are these: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: mfetdik NVStrap I dont know if they have any thing to do with this issue.. but I'd love to get rid of them...(there was a third one last week (atitool.sys) which I managed to fix via regedit.. but these two I'm now sure about since one is Nvidia and I dont want to remove some important part of my display drivers.. (8800GTS) thanks for any help given. me972 "Robert L.
