No. I tried with HP Officejet 7410 but no success. It seems like HP will come up with the drivers soon. -- Tony ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tony's Profile: http://vista64.net/forums/member.php?userid=913 View this thread: http://vista64.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27936 |

Hans,
Saw this a couple of days ago, it may help in the near future for scanning too, not sure. Just caught this in a news article, it might be applicable. "in December, the company plans to release new software drivers for Vista -- namely the HP Universal Print Driver, which eliminates the need to perform individual driver installations." Got it from this article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/cmp/20061203/tc_cmp/196601094 Jeff "Hans" wrote in message ... Hi, Anyone succeed in activating the scan function of the HP Laserjet 28xx, which is placed in a network ? Printing is working fine. Thx |

From what I can see, the URL in your note doesn't contain the the quote you
included. However, see http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpsub/cach...0-225-121.html and http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/pr...eg_R1002_USEN; the later has these two quotes: "For example, the HP Universal Print Driver, a single, intelligent print driver that eliminates the need to perform individual driver installations, can help businesses virtually eliminate the need for testing, qualifying and distributing hundreds of different printer drivers when they migrate to Windows Vista.(1) " (1) HP's Windows Vista enabled Universal Print Driver is expected to be available in early 2007. Visit www.hp.com/go/windowsvista for the most recent Windows Vista drivers and downloads. HP Universal Print Driver is available as a free download from www.hp.com/go/universalprintdriver or www.hp.com/go/upd." -- Bruce Sanderson MVP http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/ It's perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question. Bruce,
Maybe it got lost in transmission, but that quote was taken from that url and article;from yahoo news, but thanks for the further clarification, with your links. alas, still not there, got my HP Photosmart 7450 driver in RTM, but waiting on a HP 4070 scanner myself. HP sorta quietly snuck in printer drivers to RTM, cuz they weren't there b4, but to their credit, all along they said no drivers till RTM. Hopefully the scanner ones come with the universal one, or else by themselves;soon. Jeff "Bruce Sanderson" wrote in message ...
