Default Can't turn on Task Scheduler?

In attempting to burn a disc to back up files, I am told task scheduler is
not running. Searching through help, I am given a comm promt Taskschd.msc.
No Action. I also added a . at the end. No action.

So, how do I turn on same that I might burn a backup DVD? Bouncing around I
get messg after messg telling me the service is not running, but no way to
start it.

Thanks, and peace.

Go to Administrative Tools and open Services.

You'll find it in there.

Set it to Automatic and then Start it.
