I get conflicting status for Network Discovery and File Sharing as to whether
they are On or Off. When I view their status in the Control Panel: Network and Sharing Center window they are on. When I view their status in the Live OneCa Change Settings: Configure Firewall window they are off. I had Windows Defender installed before I got Windows Live OneCare and it appears that Defender, Windows Firewall and OneCare aren't "fully aware" of one another. Windows Firewall says my computer is not protected even though my OneCare Firewall is on. ...and the OneCare and "Windows" firewalls are responsible for controlling Network Discovery and File Sharing. I'm hoping this will get fixed in Vista SP1. |
