Default Annoying clicking 10 seconds from songs end on WMC/WMP using Vista

I wondering if anyone else has experienced this and/or might have any
suggestions on how to end it?

Playing music I dled from personal cd's, about 10 seconds from the songs
end, there is a hesitation/click that interrupts the music and is annoying. I
just bought a Vista machine and never experienced this using WMP on my old XP
computer.

Any ideas on what I can do to stop this?

Sigma Tel audio adapter?

Search Vista's Help and Support ("audio skipping") for guided instructions --
CHECK the box to disable audio enhancements in Control Panel Sound Playback
highlight Speakers press Properties button Enhancements tab.

This isnt a performance issue I dont believe. I have 3gb RAM and the
skipping/clicking always happen about 10 seconds before the end of a song. I
hope it isnt some new annoying anti-piracy nonsense.

Who said anything about performance?

This is an audio adapter DRIVER issue.

Did you try to disable the audio enhancements?

Did you consult Help and Support"

What is your audio adapter in Device Manager?
