Error 43 and ATI X1300 AGP 256
I purchased a video card advertised to be Vista Ready. Has not proven to be
the case thus far. Card- ATI X1300 AGP 256 I get what some have flagged the famous ATI Error 43. Here's the dump from Vista, Can't load device driver. Problem Event Name: PnPDeviceProblemCode Architectu x86 Hardware Id: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7146&SUBSYS_0850174B&REV_00 Setup class GUID: {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} PnP problem code: 0000002B Driver name: atikmdag.sys Driver version: 7.1.1.523 Driver date: 11-02-2006 OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.4 Locale ID: 1033 ATI Beta Drivers do not overcome this issue. Catalyst appears to install everything fine (no errors in post install log), but no driver update and Cataylst software will not launch. I am functional (Rating 1.0) as far as video output goes, but it sure would be nice to have the full effects of Aero functional. If MS folk are watch dogging newsgroups, I'd sure like to find a solution or work around. Cheers, j a c k |
