Default Windows won't start after help

I haven't used my computer for 2 weeks as I was out of town and when I turned
it on when I got home it went out on me with lots of thin colored lines
comping up then it said windows did not start and there is a hardware
problem. I contacted Dell and they had me take the battery out and plug the
charger in and push F8 and start the computer. Started and added password
then it began testing the hardware. Said it would probably restart a few
times. The lines came up then the screen came up with all my icons. Great!
I asked if this would happen again and they said no, well guess what, it did
it again. It's like when it does come up it stays on only for about 10
minutes then the screen goes crazy again and quits. This computer was bought
in November 2007 and has Vista. It is a Dell XPS. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

Contact Dell, as you have a hardware failure and will likely require
warranty work.
