Everytime I start up my computer the screen shows a configuring page which
says configuring 3 of 3. It goes from zero to 85% then when it hits 100 my computer restarts and then repeats this over and over and my computer won't do anything else. I can leave it for hours even days and this cycle just keeps repeating itself. Is there a combination of computer keys I can press so the computer will allow me to restore to the previous time it backed up so that what ever caused this can be fixed. Thanks |

Thanks It sounds like you have one of the Vista Updates failed. You should be able to go to SAFE Mode (hit F8 key usually at start-up). From there uninstall the last Windows updates or even at Safe Mode use a Restore Point from before this happened. Once running make sure you delete the TEMP folder as well. C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Temp There will be a tonne of left over files in there. CTRL-A and select them all and hit delete. Any in use it will not let you delete, so you can do no harm Frenchy |
