Vista won't recognize my new Garmin
Seriously. I'm about to cry. Whenever I hook the Garmin 650 up to the USB
port Vista tries to locate the device driver. Then it can't find it.... I get a "Windows could not find driver software for your device" message and I'm absolutely stuck. I tried to download the KB940199 fix for this, (this is the download suggested by the problem report) but Windows keeps telling me it doesn't apply to my system (I have a 32 bit system) and it cancels the download. I had this same problem with a stupid flash drive several months ago and got so frustrated I just went and bought a different flash. But the Garmin was expensive and I can't just change it out. This is seriously making me frustrated. What on earth do I do to fix this? |

Vista won't recognize my new Garmin
If you already have Vista SP1 in stalled the Hotfix does not apply since it
is included in SP1. You need to make sure that you have the latest Vista32 bit drivers for your Garmin from their Website installed and if you do then you need to contact their support site. If the Garmin is connected to a USB port on a hub you need to connect it to a port on the computer itself "Gischer" wrote in message ... Seriously. I'm about to cry.
