I've just upgraded to Vista today (Thanks to my Technet subscription) and
I've been reading and working through the network side of things. The information I have been reading online in the usual locations indicates there is some form of location profile management. However, I can't see anything anywhere in any configuration panel or page to make this happen. What i'm looking for is location profile management, that will detect the network that i'm connected to and apply settings (default printer, proxy settings, etc) relevant to that location. Similar applications that perform these functions are Mobile Net Switch and IBM/Lenovo Access Connections. Are these kind of features included in the OS, and how do I leverage them for my use. |
