I want to disable some of my start-up programs, but when i go into the
software explorer, then start-up programs in Windows Defender, the 'remove' 'disable' and 'enable' buttons can't be clicked on (i.e. they have that faded look to them that Windows does). Any ideas as to how I can fix this?? I'm using home premium btw. |

StartProgramsAccessoriesRun type in msconfig then click OK.
You can sort your startup Programs from there, and when you do a reboot, it will be a selective startup, which is fine. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "CaitlinJN" wrote: I want to disable some of my start-up programs, but when i go into the software explorer, then start-up programs in Windows Defender, the 'remove' 'disable' and 'enable' buttons can't be clicked on (i.e. they have that faded look to them that Windows does). Click "Show for all users" in Windows Defender. This elevates the program,
and thus enables the Remove/Disable/Enable command buttons. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] The Winhelponline Blog: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog Windows® Troubleshooting: http://www.winhelponline.com "CaitlinJN" wrote in message ...
