Default Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse

I Installed software & conected Mouse transmiter to computer which has vista
on it and the screen saver won't work pull the transmiter out and the screen
saver works. Has anyone had this problem if so did you get it fixed.

Try running Windows Update manually with the mouse connected. You will
probably find an HID update which might cure the problem.

....If the HID update is not found...I was able to download the update from
microsoft...but I dont have a clue as to how to install it. Its a .cab file
extension...I can open it...but not clue how or where to install.

I guess I am saying this because if the original poster cant find the file
(its hard to find)...I can email to him

Anyways...how do you install the update once downloaded (windows update
never did find it so that is why I downloaded it)??

Sorry, can't help. I must have been lucky that I was offered the update
which made it easy to install.

No prob at all. Its just an annoying problem and you would think the fix
would be simple....if the update showed up....but not meant to be apparently.
