I have had no luck in backing-up to my Maxtor Shared Storage Plus, as Vista
requires a password and username - but won't let me use the accounts on the drive. Does anyone have a good solution for this problem? |

Hi!
Have the same problem. Hope there will be a solution, fast. I think it has to do with some Vista security features, since you need a username/password on Windows XP. My Maxtor is in the same workgroup and username and password are the same on the Maxtor and the Vista-pc. -- Greetings Udo MCSA / CCA "intclass" wrote: I have had no luck in backing-up to my Maxtor Shared Storage Plus, as Vista requires a password and username - but won't let me use the accounts on the drive. Hi
This worked also for me: http://www.jimmah.com/vista/net/ntlm.aspx Reboot after the change. -- Greetings Udo MCSA / CCA "intclass" wrote: I have had no luck in backing-up to my Maxtor Shared Storage Plus, as Vista requires a password and username - but won't let me use the accounts on the drive.
