Running Vista Home Premium, with the built in Movie Maker ver. 6.
After dragging an AVI clip to the storyboard, in timeline mode, the moviemaker crashes if I try to do anythingwith it. The message is: "Data Extraction Prevention stopped the program..." When I tried to change the DEP settings to allow running the program, I was not permitted. On some other occasions there is another message: "Another user is running Movie Maker...." There was only one window open at the time. The computer is new, Vista is updated automatically. I also tried to shut down some of the filters in Movie Maker; no use. Any suggestions? |

What's the fault information for that DEP crash: http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket ? This indicates that your AVI codec is bogus. -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. -- "Adam" wrote in message ...
