Greetings
The first few times i plugged (usb) my canon rebel xti into my computer the autoplay work just fine to import my pictures using windows. Now nothing happens when i plug the camera in. In order to download now, i go to start/computer where my camera is identified and right click than select import pictures. Currenty, when I open the autoplay window, i have "import pictures using windows" selected for pictures and, what is weird, i have two identicle entries for my camera under "Devices". For both of these entries i have selected "import pictures using windows". Any help is appreciated...thanks in advance...j |

It could be a "group policy issue". Have you tried fooling with different settings in "autoplay"? Such as "ask me every time". Also check out the following registry key. HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom The value for "Autorun" needs to be dword: 1... . Hope this helps. -- dbknox |

dbknox:
Thanks for responding. I can't find this key in the registry. What is most strange is the duplicate entries for the camera in autoplay. I've done quite a bit of tinkering and can't get it to work. Any other suggestions?...thanks in advance...j "dbknox" wrote: It could be a "group policy issue". Have you tried fooling with different settings in "autoplay"? Such as "ask me every time".
