I have this promblem with one of my projet on Windows Movies Maker. After I
am finished with my editing I go to publish my movie. It starts going through the process but on the Publishing progress window, it stops at 98% and just stais there and it never finishes the publishing. Has anyone ever had this problem? Why does it do it? and how can i fix it? -- Rig13 |

A first place to start is to see if you have incompatible source (video
and/or audio) files. Try this URL (which applies to both XP and Vista): http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutor...patibility.htm Another trick that sometimes works is to uncheck the boxes in Movie Maker| Tools| Options| Compatibility. Is Vista becoming Frankenstein's operating system? Problems with publishing
from WMM seem to be becoming more and more frequent and the solutions ever more complex - even those that don't work! Often the quick-fix solution is to download some free snake-oil or take out a mortgage to buy the latest state-of-the-art-all-singing-all-dancing conversion/editing software that is supposed to shove WMM into the shadows, but, instead, causes Vista to crash inexplicably. And when things are still less than perfect, up goes the cry, "Microsoft doesn't give a fig about its customers". Shouldn't we, the customers, be putting our heads together to come up with some creditable standardisation proposals that "the industry" can consider in terms of feasibility and cost - the potential is there for inestimable benefit. There is a very strong precedent for this, namely the ASCII, without which you wouldn't be reading this. I fear that, if we bury our heads in the sand, traffic along the "information super highway" may one day be diverted to accommodate the construction of Babel Tower 2. I've given this some thought. I hope you will too. CHEERS "rig13" wrote in message ... I have this promblem with one of my projet on Windows Movies Maker. After I am finished with my editing I go to publish my movie. I have no problems with MM or DVDM or any of its options.
Once I ot rid of all the bloatware, updated my drivers and installed SP1 my Vista has been running like a champ. -- oscar ....Right click is your best friend... Until February this year I was still using the Sinclair Spectum (Timex) I
bought in 1985 - simple is reliable. Oscar has taken the words right out of my mouth. "oscar" wrote in message ... I have no problems with MM or DVDM or any of its options.
