I think that is Autorun issue.Try to turn of Autorun for DVD drive,or change action when is application DVD/CD put to drive to "No action". You need to tell us the make and model of the computer. We have no idea if it is a laptop or desktop or anything else. If it is a desktop check the cable connections for the dvd drive. |

i have a asus commando board ,p4 2.8ghz, 2 gb ram

Does the system POWER OFF when you push the Eject button on the DVD-ROM?
If so, it may be an issue with a bad and/or under-powered Power Supply.
