I think that is Autorun issue.Try to turn of Autorun for DVD drive,or
change action when is application DVD/CD put to drive to "No action".

So,go to Control Panel and select Auto Play----Software and Games, from
drop down list select Take no Action or Ask me every time

You need to tell us the make and model of the computer. We have no idea if
it is a laptop or desktop or anything else. If it is a desktop check the
cable connections for the dvd drive.

Does the system POWER OFF when you push the Eject button on the DVD-ROM?

If so, it may be an issue with a bad and/or under-powered Power Supply.
