Is there anyway I can view this photo file with Vista or can it only be viewed with XP? ================================== The freeware PhotoStory 3 project files are in the .wp3 format. If you download and install PhotoStory 3 you should be able to open the .wp3 file by double left clicking it. Once the file is open...you can advance through the various screens...Next / Next / until you reach the "Save Your Story" screen. On this screen if you click Next one last time the project will be saved as a movie in the ..wmv format. BTW...PhotoStory 3 will run on Vista. Thank you John! I was hoping you would respond to me with an answer. I read
some of your other postings and felt confident you would be the man with the answers. I will give it a try. Thank you again. It worked beautifully!! I was finally able to view my second graders photo
file. Now I have yet another photo file from a different teacher in a different format. I don't even know what it is, therefore I am unable to view it. The copied file came in a folder with Video and Audio files. When I view properties of Audio, the folder is "empty." The Video file has several file extensions like BUP, IFO and VOB. Any help you can offer with my limited information provided would be grateful. Thanks again. Melissa "John Inzer" wrote: Melissa wrote: Thank you John! Hi *Melissa* this sounds like a DVD movie that will play on your DVD player. It is normal for the audio folder to be empty, you will still have sound. If you can't play this on your computer using WMP try downloading VLC player at the following site. 'VLC Media Player - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com' (http://www.download.com/VLC-Media-Pl...-10267151.html) It is a very good player and the price is right *free*. The BUP file is a backup of the IFO file on a DVD, which contains the information about the organization of tracks, menus, chapters, subtitles on the disc -- dbknox |

Melissa ======================== Excelent! Thanks for the update. Your BUP, IFO and VOB files were copied a Video DVD. If you have a DVD Burner and DVD authoring software you might want to try using the files to create a DVD. I agree with dbknox that VLC player would be worth a try for playing the VOB files. Also there are some options at the following site: Info on DVD Decoders: Plug-ins for Windows Media Player http://tinyurl.com/j9e29 or... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/plugins.aspx In some cases you can rename the VOB files with the .mpg extension and they might play in Windows Media Player. -- John Inzer |

Thank you both for all of your assistance. I will try burning the DVD first
- that sounds the easiest for me for starters and than go down your list of suggestions if needed. I truly appreciate the help from both of you.
