CD/DVD Drive Error
I have recently ran a game on my E: drive (CD/DVD Drive). Then came the
problems. First, the CD/DVD tray won't open, both when done automatically or manually. Second, It won't read any more CD/DVD. However, the tray can be ejected by using the famous "paper clip method". The error (dialogue box) that pops up when I try to automatically eject the tray showed: "'DVD RW DRIVE (E' IS CURRENTLY IN USE. SAVE ANY OPEN FILES ON THIS DISC, AND THEN CLOSE THE FILES OR PROGRAMS USING THE FILES BEFORE TRYING AGAIN. IF YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE, THE FILES WILL BE CLOSED, WHICH MAY CAUSE DATA TO BE LOST." But then, I don't even have any idea about this error. I've tried to uninstall the drive quite a number of times but that doesn't fix the problem. Any advice on how to solve this problem? |

Replace the drive. It sounds like it is broken. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
