1. I am on Windows Vista Business with SP1 installed 2. Until recently I used the Command Prompt for some things and it worked fine. 3. I usually run it at administrator level clicking on context menu SHIFT /"Open Command Window Here" and then opening at administrator level. But it then stopped working. 4. Very recently Keying in Cmd.exe either in Start Search or Run brings up the Command Prompt window for one second then it disappears so I cant use it. 5. I have checked for spyware and trojans and run a full scan all clear 6. I have run system restore no help. 7. I went to Windows/System 33, found the Cmd file and put a new short cut in Start Menu. Same thing from here ie it comes up for one second and thats it. 8.I tried repair startup menu from F8 and so on. No change HELP PLEASE |

Hi chocolee, Try running a system file check - that will probably repair the damage. 'System Files - SFC Command' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66...c-command.html) Hope it helps SIW2 chocolee;1213105 Wrote: Bcwinch, I'm having the same problem you had. Did you resolve it? If so, How? Thanks, chocolee -- SIW2 |
