Default Where are my music files

I have many private audio files which I have set up to use with Windows media
player version 11.0.6001.7000 These audio files have been developed and
recorded a over a lifetime.
I can play these files but I can no longer find them in the folder. Can
anybody tell me what's happened to them and how I can see them again.

I need to back up these audio files urgently. I also want to back up the
play lists which I also cannot see.

According to a search they are located at C:\users\Myname\media\music\etc
but when I look at this location in explorer there's nothing there.

When you open up WMplayer, do these files show up in your Library? If they do
right click one of the folders or files and see if you can find its location.
If these files show up in WMPlayer Library can you play them? If not, maybe
(somehow) these files have been deleted or moved to another location.

oscar thanks.

I seem to have managed to delete them. How - I have no idea. Perhaps
WMplayer doesn't like my taste in music.

WMplayer is playing them from the recycle bin.

You're welcome.

You are not alone. I've unconsciously moved or deleted many files in my
lifetime. I blame it on "temporary insanity."

cheers...
