Default Sound not working for DVD RIP Videos

I'm not able get the sound by using the Windows Media player.
its require AC3 filter.

if i installed the AC3 filter sound is working.

But i dont want to use the other than Microsoft Products.

Is there any fix for the Sound problem for Windows Media Player which
relaesed by MS.

if there is no fix Perhaps its bug in MS Windows media Player or ?

Regards
Raja

If you're ripping movies from commercial DVD's the ripping software may be
contributing to your sound problems, depending on the amount of compression
that you're using. I'd look at your ripping software before I'd blame Vista.

Hello Oscar Project Team,

My DVD Rip contains 2 GB- i can able to view the Viedo but no sound.

for same RIP i'm using divxplayers with with AC3 coder its working.Without
AC3 filter ot not supporting that too

I guess its not the Problem with VISTA os or might be Media Player which not

Just i want to know is Windows Media Player supports the DVD RIP Dollby
digtals sound or not? i guess basically not?

Hi *Raja* I find a lot of DVDs don't have sound using WMP I downloaded
VLC at the following site and now can listen to those DVDs.
'VLC media player - Overview' (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
( Many DVDs have a copy guard and cannot be ripped).

Hi,

yes,I know VLB and other party tools can work.but i'm much craze about the
Microsoft product. Moreover i'm supposed to use only Microsoft product and the
Licenced software.

So it means Windows Media player will not suppot the dollby digital
sounds.(AC3).

i'm planning to buy the new hardware to support the 64-bit OS.

Cheers,

Your question boils down to "Does Microsoft currently ship an AC3 codec?" -
the answer to that is "not as far as I'm aware".

Thus you would likely be better suited to use a different audio codec in
your files.
