Anyone have a way of getting Vista and SBS2003 standard login scripts to work ? What do you think is broken? A standard SBS login script requires administrative privileges on the client, so will throw a UAC prompt. This is expected behaviour, at least at the moment. There's an update in the works for SBS to "improve" Vista client support. I have several Vista machines running against SBS without any major problems. I don't generally use the SBS Client Deployment tools though, so I have amended my SBS login script to not run the Client Setup application on Vista. http://groups.google.com/group/micro...dca317d4cc83a6 -- Steve Foster [SBS MVP] --------------------------------------- MVPs do not work for Microsoft. Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply. Its doing what I expected, but I need to make sure that any scripts deployed by a valid source (eg logon scripts) are run successfully. I did hear about using a Shim (or a shiv?) to tell Vista to run the logon script with UAC privs, but I've not found any useful info on how to do this. Adrian.
