HP doesn't support the HP Laser Jet 1500 for Vista. Has anybody come up with
a work around such as another driver set?

Providing you're using 32 bit Vista, try the XP drivers.

Thanks, I tried that with a download from HP and it took the software this
time (would not with the disk.) I tried a test page got an error message
that it is not sent. Would trying HP 1600 drivers work since it is Vista
compatable? Would it mess up other the other computer to have two different
drivers for the same printer (MY wife and I network to the same printer).

If I can not get the printer to work, I am wondering if I am betterr off
just partitioning the hard drive and adding XP and office to the new
partition and using it instead of Vista. Are there any pitfalls with that?

I checked and found that I had two printers with the same name. I deleted
one and this time it worked.
